EXPERIENCE: Mr. Jones has represented clients in jury trials involving serious personal injury and death claims. In several cases, his clients have been awarded judgments in excess of $1,000,000. EDUCATION: Mr. Jones is a graduate of Indiana University (A.B., 1961; LL.B., 1963). He was a Captain in the United States Air Force (1963 – 1966) and served in the Judge Advocate Office, where he tried more than 25 court martials. He is a Certified Alternative Dispute Resolution Mediator by the Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education. BAR ADMISSIONS: He was admitted to the bar in1963 (Indiana and U.S. District Courts, Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana). PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS: Mr. Jones is a member of the Bar Associations of La Porte City, La Porte County, and Indiana State (Member, Board of Managers, 1985-1986). He is a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (President, 1989). He has been voted by his peers as one of The Best Lawyers in America for 18 consecutive years. Gene is a Fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation and the American College of Trial Lawyers. LEADERSHIP: Mr. Jones served as Chairman of the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Seminar of Demonstrative Evidence (1989) and Co-chairman of the Indiana Defense Lawyers Seminar (1989). He has been listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America and formerly a member of the International Associations of Defense Counsel. He was awarded the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana Diplomat Award in 1991. Mr. Jones is also a fellow in the American College of Lawyers. |
