EDUCATION: Mr. Lewis earned his undergraduate degree at DePauw University (A.B., 1958) and his law degree at the University of Michigan (J.D., 1961). He is a member of the following organizations/fraternities: Order of Coif, Phi Beta Kappa, and Phi Alpha Delta. He was the Associate Editor of the Michigan Law Review (1960-1961) and served as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, La Porte County (1961-1966).
BAR ADMISSIONS: He was admitted to bar in 1961 (Indiana, United States District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, U.S. Tax Court, 1990).
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS: He is a member of the Bar Associations of La Porte City (President, 1974-1975), La Porte County, and Indiana State. He served as Chairman of the Probate Trust and Real Property Section of the Indiana State Bar Association (1992-1993), Review Editor, Indiana Estate Planning and Probate Practice. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation, and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
