EXPERIENCE:  Mr. Kaminski concentrates his practice in the area of school law, domestic relations law, land use law, and criminal defense. He has presented topics at the Indiana School Board Association’s School Law Seminar and Indiana School Board Association’s School Board Summer Academy.  His clients include La Porte Community School Corporation, Michigan City Area Schools, New Prairie United School Corporation, Metropolitan School District of New Durham Township, and South Central Schools. Mr. Kaminski also contributes to our Criminal Defense Blog.

EDUCATION:  Mr. Kaminski is a LaPorte High School graduate. He earned both his undergraduate and law degrees at Creighton University (B.S., 1988; J.D., 1991).

BAR ADMISSIONS: He was admitted to the bar in 1992 (Indiana and U.S. District Courts, Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit).

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS:  Mr. Kaminski is a member of the Bar Associations of La Porte City, La Porte County, Indiana State, and the American Bar Association.  He is also a member of the Indiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Indiana Public Defender Council.  He served as a Deputy Public Defender for La Porte County from 1994 to the present. In addition, he is a member of the National School Boards Association, the Council of School Attorneys, and the Indiana School Boards Association.  He is a Fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation.
